Ibn Hamsan Village is one of the tourist villages of an architectural heritage located in Khamis Mushait in the south of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It has become one of the most famous villages in the Asir region. A number of His Highness princes, ministers, pioneers of thought and literature visited the village at the Kingdom level, as well as a number of European, American and Asian delegations or tourists from inside and outside the Kingdom.
The palace was built of stone in the architectural style of the mountainous areas in the Asir region, consisting of 4 floors, and including the women’s council, the men’s council, the bedroom, and the family’s session. The Shunnah Palace, and the contents of the palace are the old pictures of some of the markets of the Surat area and its villages. The palace is decorated with some local motifs and inscriptions called (the Eqt ).
It contains a collection of important ancient documents, in addition to the heritage pieces used in the region in the past, such as: agricultural tools, transport and travel tools, and some tools used in folk medicine. The museum has a special section for women presenting jewellery, tools for decorating and another corner for men displaying weapons and clothes.
