Dammam
The largest city in the Eastern Province, Dammam Port
and the new King Fahad International Airport are the
largest on the Arabian Gulf.
Huge port for import-export traffic (No.2 after Jeddah),
Dammam Corniche, north of Tarut: Mangroves (seaside
bus and turtle staple food) on the way. The King Fahad
Causeway (25 km long) south of Khobar, links the Kingdom
with the state of Bahrain Island.
King Fahad Park in the central Dammam is the haven
of greenery allowing a peaceful picnic under the shade
of nice trees. And the Saudi Aramco exhibit (word Museum
is reserved for government establishment) in Dhahran:
everything about petroleum from chemical structure to
origin, searching, drilling, producing, reservoir management,
refining, and transportation, to the Saudi ARAMCO history.
(Created in 1981).
